The 3-Step Restoration System
Our total interlock restoration system
Professional Power Washing & Deep Cleaning
Sealing over dirt is a recipe for failure. We use industrial-grade pressure washers and oscillating surface cleaners to strip away moss, algae, and years of grime without damaging the paver surface.
Polymeric Sanding & Joint Stabilization
This is the most critical step. We replace lost joint sand with premium SmartSandâ„¢. Unlike standard play sand or cheap hardware store mixes, this advanced formula is engineered to prevent "hazing" and offers superior joint stabilization. Once activated, the nano-polymers create a flexible, durable bond that prevents weed growth, ant infestations, and paver shifting.
Protective Sealing (Wet Look or Natural)
Once clean, sanded and dry, we apply the highest-grade paver sealers on the market. Whether you choose a "Natural Matte" or a vibrant "Wet Look" finish, our sealers act as a subsurface shield. By saturating the pores of the stone, we lock in the SmartSandâ„¢ and create a barrier that protects against oil stains, salt erosion, and UV fading.
- Natural Matte: Protection without the shine. Highlights the stone's raw texture.
- Satin / Semi-Gloss: A clean, moderate sheen that darkens the stone slightly.
- High-Gloss (Wet Look): Maximum colour "pop" and a deep, vibrant shine.
The "Real Talk" Restoration Guide
Why most interlock sealing jobs fail within one season
Many "low-cost" contractors skip the details that matter. If you don't do it right, you'll end up with:
- Polymeric Haze: White, cloudy residue left on the surface of the stones.
- Hollow Joints: Sand that washes away after the first heavy rain.
- Trapped Weeds: Sealing over organic matter that eventually pushes through.
- Flash Peeling: Cheap sealers that flake off due to trapped moisture.
If your previous contractor left you with a hazy mess, contact us. We offer specialized restoration and stripping services to fix it.
Our solution
the Sealcoat Canada difference
Skip the "spray and go" contractors. At Sealcoat Canada, we know premium restoration is defined by preparation. While others rush to seal damp surfaces, leading to peeling and "blushing", we adhere to a strict moisture-testing protocol to ensure a flawless chemical bond.
By using SmartSandâ„¢ with Nano Polymer technology, we eliminate the cloudy haze of amateur jobs while permanently locking out weeds and ants. Paired with high-solids acrylic sealers and years of GTA expertise, we don't just "seal" your pavers. We stabilize your entire hardscape to survive Ontario's harshest winters. That is the Sealcoat Canada guarantee.

How much does professional interlock sealing cost per square foot?
In Ontario, professional restoration (including power washing, polymeric sanding, and sealing) typically ranges between $1.50 to $2.50 per square foot.
